Last Updated: April 2026
Statement prepared: April 2026
Last accessibility review: April 2026
1. Our Commitment
The Learning Fort is committed to making its website accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)
2.1 Level AA, and we work to comply with the Equal Status Acts 2000–2018, the Irish Disability Act 2005, and the European Accessibility Act 2025.
2. Compliance Status
This website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. The areas where we do not yet fully meet the standard are primarily due to the constraints of our website platform (Wix), where some components and embedded elements are outside our direct control.
Known limitations include:
-
Some interactive elements generated by the Wix platform may not be fully optimised for screen reader use
-
Some embedded HTML content (including our Glossary) may have limited compatibility with all assistive technologies
-
Video content may not have full captions in all cases
We are actively working to address these limitations and will update this statement as improvements are made.
3. What We Have Done
-
We use clear, plain language throughout the site in keeping with our commitment to accessibility for all families and educators
-
We provide text alternatives for images where possible
-
We aim for clear heading structures and consistent navigation across all pages
-
We welcome and act on user feedback about accessibility barriers
4. Scope
This statement applies to all pages and content published on thelearningfort.com, including downloadable resources. It does not cover third-party websites we link to, which are governed by their own accessibility policies.
